Gatka is an ancient martial art
originating in South Asian region known as Panjab. Miri Piri Gatka is a Sikh Martial Arts organization which formed in early part of 1999 in Houston, Texas. We actively travel throughout the United States and abroad to perform Gatka, take part in tournaments and spread the ancient art of Gatka.
In Houston
Since its inception in 1971, the Houston International Festival has brought other cultures to Houston, teaching Houstonians and visitors about countries and people from around the world. Through art, dance, music, food and more, the Houston International Festival is a vehicle to learn about other traditions, cultures, customs and lifestyles. Miri Piri Gatka performed and was very much appreciated by the visitors.
