Vahguru ji ka Khalsa, Vahguru ji ki Phatah! Guru Savari Sadh Sangat ji, As many of you know, we have been conducting montly sangat kirtan divans here in Houston. The focus of these divans is to perform kirtan seva ourselves. The Sangat Kirtan Divans are held on Every Last Friday of each month at the Sikh Center Gurduara Sahib. Congratulations to you all on the Birthday of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Despite weather was shivering cold and Drizzling rain there were Lot of People at Jones Plaza. If you took my advice in events and took warm clothing & umbrella am sure you didn’t regret. If the weather had been good public easily could have been 10 times more. But still Lot of Sangat made it there and enough to be more than expected in this kind weather. Once you made it there you could hear & feel the keertin singing in downtown high buildings. Today was the Houston HEB Thanksgiving day parade which is watched on site by thousands and then TV broadcasts again. Early weather was very cold and but when you got out it was also beautiful. It was holiday and became a really good fun filled outing for family watching Thanksgiving Day parade and Houston Sikhs flot and performance in the parade. I just received this message today. It’s good news that Austin Sangat is working on a new Gurdwara project there in Austin. Otherwise I remember few friends driving all the way to Houston Gurdwara on Sundays. It was easily 2-3 hours one way drive. Austin Sangat is very fortunate, they are having their local Gurdwara so they can enjoy Guru Shabad more often.
